- Assess student’s preferences and guide student in identifying each characteristic a college must have to match the student’s criteria
- Develop a tailored initial list of colleges that
takes into account the student’s academic and activity-based needs
- Educate students on strategies to narrow list through research and visits

College Application Guidance

- Help student in compiling a resume specific to college applications
- Brainstorm personal statement and school specific essay topics with students
- Review and provide feedback on essays and other college application documents
- Help student to determine if an early application plan is the right choice and which early program is the right fit
- Examine finalized applications
- Provide an overview of your application essays to highlight strengths as well as indicate room for improvement. This service is available for students we are currently working with as well as new students; your essays will be read by someone who has never seen your application and has not worked with you in order to ensure the utmost objectivity when providing feedback
Post-application Support
- Teach student strategies for managing deferral and waitlist decisions, if applicable
- Assist student in weighing options once decisions have been received
