School Search Assistance

• Assess student’s preferences and guide student in identifying each characteristic a school must have to match the student’s criteria

• Develop a tailored initial list of schools that

  takes into account the student’s academic and activity-based needs
• Educate students on strategies to narrow list through research and visits
• Teach families how to approach school visits, including interviews
• Assist students in communicating with admissions staff
• Help in narrowing list of schools
• Finalize list with families to ensure necessary criteria are met and list is balanced

Application Guidance

• Advocate for student with schools’ admissions officers and other school administrators
• Create a personalized schedule that tracks important steps and deadlines
• Conduct interview preparation sessions for both students and parents
• Supply a tailored, online student application management system to organize tasks and documents associated with application
• Advise on recommendation letter process
• Assist families with understanding and completing school-specific applications
• Analyze parent and student applications
• Brainstorm school specific essay topics with students
• Review and provide feedback on essays and other application documents
• Examine finalized applications
• Provide an overview of your application essays to highlight strengths as well as indicate room for improvement. This service is available for students we are currently working with as well as new students; your essays will be read by someone who has never seen your application and has not worked with you in order to ensure the utmost objectivity when providing feedback
